Gautam Rode is geared up with his forthcoming suspense thriller Aksar 2, opposite Zareen Khan. During his recent media interaction, popular television star spoke about content being the King in Bollywood.
“Content is the new king. If your content is good, your script is good, nowadays it doesn’t matter whether the actor is big or small, new or old. Now if you’re depicting your story well on screen and if the cast is capable, I think people definitely accept it”
“Times are changing and it is good for everyone. I think it is a challenge for everyone to tell better and new stories and characters, but that burden is gone that if there is no superstar in the film it won’t work” said Gautam Rode when asked star power matters or content.
Aksar 2 is an upcoming erotic thriller film, directed by Ananth Narayan Mahadevan. The film is the sequel to 2006 film Aksar. The film stars Gautam Rode, Abhinav Shukla, Zareen Khan and Mohit Madaan in lead roles.
Gautam Rode will be seen romancing Zareen Khan for the first time in the film and spoke very highly of his co-star from Aksar 2.
“Zareen Khan is a natural actor. She is quite comfortable with herself and at the same time, her Hindi diction is very clear in front of the camera. She is pure-hearted, whatever is in her heart it’s on her tongue. I am very happy and proud of her” added Gautam.
Aksar 2 is the sequel, so it is natural that the film is constantly compared with the earlier version but Gautam Rode denies any similarities.
“Aksar and Aksar 2 are not related in any way. The story, screenplay, technical team, actors and music directors, everyone is different besides director and producer” added Gautam.
Aksar 2 also marks the debut of controversial Indian cricketer S. Sreesanth, who plays the role of a lawyer.
It is releasing on 6 October 2017.
