Team of ‘Rukh’ hosted special screening of their film on Thursday in Mumbai. Bollywood celebrities like Gulshan Devaiah, Sudhir Mishra, Neetu Chandra, Amruta Subhash, Smita Tambe and Adarsh Gourav attended screening of the film.

Gulshan Devaiah – I am expected it to be a very good film, good story. The cast seems to be really solid, experienced and sound in their craft so I expect a good quality film with touching story. Possibly, I can take something home , think about it and learn out of it.”
Talking about Manoj Bajpayee as an actor, Gulshan said, “He is somebody who has major influence in my life. In 1998, when his movie ‘Satya’ came out, it was break-out movie for him. With that film, he gave me hope as before that, When I used to look up in the mirror, I used to feel that I cannot be an actor. He showed me that if you are true to your craft and you keep believing in yourself then you can achieve something in your life so I am respect a lot him for that”
Talking about Manoj Bajpayee in Rukh, Gulshan said, “He is powerhouse performer. He is never bad. He will always give you something new with his each film. If you see all his recent films, he has shown versatility as an actor so I would expect top-notch performance from one of the best actor from our country”
Smita Tambe – Right now, I am feeling excited, I used to feel nervous when we were shooting for the film. I am really happy that our film is getting good reviews from critics and people from the industry. when you watch the film with audience in cinema hall then it feels nice to see their live reactions”
Adarsh Gourav – Critics has given good reviews for the film and I am feeling happy about it. I am also hopeful that this film does well in theatres as well.
Talking about Manjo Bajpayee who is playing role of his father in ‘Rukh’, Adarsh said, “Manoj Bajpayee is not a human; he is an institution himself. usually people have certain method when it comes acting but I don’t know how many methods he has as an actor. He is artist of an another level altogether. Working with senior actor like Smita ji and Manoj sir was inspirational for me. They treat each film like a new film so working with them was lot of fun”
Manoj Bajpayee – As usual, I am feeling excited and nervous before release of my film. My choice of films has been most important aspect of my career and I am very happy and proud to be part of ‘Rukh’. Critics has good reviews for the film and I hope this will be appreciated by audience as well”
Recently, almost eleven months after the Supreme Court asked cinema halls to play the National Anthem before the screening of films; the apex court has now revisited the order and asked the Centre to form appropriate rules and regulations, talking about Supreme Court’s decision, Bajpayee said, “I am a citizen of India and I accept whatever rules government brought in public domain. If they will tell me to stand up while playing national anthem in cinema halls then I will stand up and vice versa so I don’t think too much about these things. I feel If I have chosen this government then I have to abide policies brought by them”
‘Rukh’ is about the journey of a boy rediscovering his lost connections and familial ties, through the secrets and memories he must confront on his way.
It stars Manoj Bajpayee, Adarsh Gourav and Smita Tambe in lead roles. It is directed by Atanu Mukherjee and produced by Manish Mundra, founder of Drishyam Films.
It is releasing on 27 November, 2017.
