Actor Shahid Kapoor, who plays the character of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh in forthcoming magnum opus ‘Padmavati’, said the film is a great cinematic experience which shows people of India in a nicest possible way.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali helmed Padmavati is facing continuous opposition by Rajput Karni Sena, from destroying the sets to filing cases or hitting the filmmaker, the trouble caused are endless.
“Right now the focus is to release the film, allow people to experience something, and there is absolute and complete care has been taken to keep everybody’s point of view in mind. I hope people see the film, it is a great cinematic experience and it is made in a way which will only show people of this country in the nicest light” said Shahid Kapoor during his recent media interaction.
The makers of Padmavati has launched the first look poster, teaser, and trailer on social media, which are usually launched with fans and media presence and for the first time, Shahid Kapoor admits that he is waiting to host a promotional event to interact with media and fans.
“I am also waiting, but how the film is promoted is not up to me! I mean the trailer is out, the response has been phenomenal and the trailer speaks for itself, the film will speak for itself, when people will see the film on 1st of December, whatever everybody has done, the energies everybody has put in for a year will truly be experienced on screen. I am happy being part of the film” added Shahid Kapoor.
The movie also stars Deepika Padukone as Rani Padmini and Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji. The movie also stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Raza Murad and Jim Sarbh in pivotal roles.
Produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and Bhansali Productions, the movie is slated for 1st December 2017 release.
