Arjun Kapoor earlier a brand ambassador for the FC club was announced to be the new co-owner of the FC Pune City team on Thursday. During media interaction, Kapoor revealed the crux of his upcoming film ‘Sandeep aur Pinky Farrar’. He said, ‘Sandeep aur Pinky Farrar’ deals with Bharat Verses India psychology
The actor spoke about the progress of his upcoming film, he said, currently I am preparing for Dibakar Banerjee’s film which is ‘Sandeep aur Pinky Farrar’ with Parineeti Chopra. The story is something completely different which is why we are trying not to reveal much. All I can say is that currently there is an interesting tussle going on in India. The film deals with the two thought processes that have evolved in the last decade which is Bharat Versus India. How people are dealing with the different psychology in their day to day lives is the film.
“It is being produced by Yash Raj films. We will start shooting for in next 10 days in North India. It’s been an interesting process, Dibakar sir is an amazing director.” Said the actor.
When asked if he ever wished to pursue a career in sports instead of film industry Arjun said, “The big issue when I was a kid was that I used to look like a football. I used to watch sports never actually ended up playing anything. My one regret is that I did not play enough sports as a kid. I believe if you have been playing sports even if just a kid, it gives you discipline, decorum, passion and drive and I regret not having it. I made sure my kids are allowed to flourish in any sports they wish to. It is important to send your kids out there to play.”
Arjun was last seen in Mubarakan portraying a double role co-starring, Anil Kapoor, Ileana D’Cruz and Athiya Shetty. And has films like ‘Sandeep aur Pinky Farrar’ and ‘Namastey Canada’ in the pipeline.
